Mold is present indoors and outdoors. It’s in the air and can be found on foods, dry leaves, and other organic materials. It’s very common to find different types of molds in residential and commercial buildings. Molds grow naturally indoors and mold spores enter the home through doorways, windows, heating and air conditioning systems. Spores also enter the home on animals, clothing, shoes, bags and people. In substantial sums they can be a high risk eliciting unfavorable responses such as lung infection and respiratory issues. At Home Inspection Experts, we utilize thermal imaging cameras to identify mold lurking behind an otherwise normal looking surface. If we have reason to believe that mold is present in the area we will take air samples and/or swab samples which we will have tested by an independent lab that is certified to evaluate the type of mold present and whether or not it has the potential to pose a serious risk to your health.
Damage to a sewer line is common and can be very costly to repair. Whether its clay, pex or cast iron, we have the resources to conduct a thorough examination of your sewer line. We use state-of-the-art equipment armed with a special camera and video recording device that provides our inspector with a “bird’s eye view” of exactly what is happening inside the line. If there is displacement, root intrusion, breakdown of the pipe or the line is just in need of hydro-jetting, a Home Inspection Expert can make the best recommendation for you. If you wait until there is problem with your sewer, it may be too late for a cost-effective repair. We always recommend inspecting the sewer line during a general home inspection for a complete evaluation of your potential home.
